This is my version of a special occasion dress.
Chock full of the most amazing details, each dress takes between 12 - 14 hours to make, entirely by hand. The neck line is embellished with hand embroidered French knots, the top yoke is separated in 6 different panels carefully cut by our master to match equally. It is then joined together with hand crocheted lace to create a garland effect on the bodice, truly a sight to behold.
The print is beautiful flowers and garden motifs in flowy chiffon, with a full skirt body making it the most feminine shape, this is my most special dress yet.

A very easy silhouette with cuffed sleeve and a very free form that can be worn easily without synching the belt too for a looser fit, to synch in the waist for a more fitted look. The belts are on either side of the waist that are finished with beautiful hand made tassels that are made completely from waste fabric.

Sizing is always hard, and for us, as all our goods are made by hand, it is even more so. I have spent a lot of time over the past 8 years I have had my own line working on sizing to make it as accurate and flattering as possible, so whilst the above guide is accurate there are always some differences.
We have just opened our flagship boutique in Byron Bay to enable more flexibility, in addition to our very generous FREE returns and exchanges on ALL Australian non sale purchases.
I am also working hard to create more inclusive sizing, and am looking to add an additional larger size later this year to be more inclusive and realistic in my offerings. I have been asked for years about this, and its a long story and answer but as my garments and made by hand and graded individually with constant new and different designs, its not as easy as copying a sample and machine making larger units. GARMENT CARE
At Kopal we celebrate a slower, more considerate approach to the construction and fabrication of our garments, not just as a trend or in efforts to "greenwash" our goods, but as a way of life and out of respect to my Indian heritage and culture. My goods are not machine made in a factory in China or Indonesia, rather, they are crafted by my employees and artisans by hand on the most selective and special fabric I am able to source from my native homeland. And as such, these garments require some extra love and care.
We use handloom cottons, natural dyes, and traditional printing techniques, and as such, a little love and care is required to ensure you get the most life out of your Kopal garments. As we use all natural fibres, airing clothes outside is often enough to restore freshness. By choosing airing your clothes outside (we recommend to lay it flat or hang dry and not in direct sunlight to maintain the garments colour) over using your washing machine you will not only save water but also your Kopal garments last much longer.
